Orlando Health Rehabilitation Institute (OHRI) is seeking a night shift Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) for night shift for their 53-bed comprehensive inpatient medical rehabilitation program. CANM should have experience in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, CARF accreditation experience preferred. Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred or qualified to take the exam. Candidates will be expected to have successfully obtained the CRRN credential within the first 12 months of hire. In search of a clinical assistant nurse manager with 2 years nursing experience, with experience in either med/surg, neuro, ortho or trauma, to lead the team in an ever growing rehabilitation and brain injury unit. OHRI is a rehabilitation unit that focuses on short term rehab for patients who have experienced injuries such as, spinal cord, total joint replacement, burns, trauma traumatic brain injuries, as well as a comprehensive stroke program. Conveniently located on the top floors of the ORMC North Bed Tower, the institute focuses on the rehabilitation of patients following a recent hospitalization or to prevent acute episodes of rehospitalization. Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree.
License as a registered nurse in the State of Florida.
Current BLS; as determined by specialty area ACLS, PALS, NALS, or TNCC.
Two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse in the acute care setting.
Manages staffing for assigned and oncoming shifts, based on patient acuity to insure patient care needs are met and budgetary boundaries are observed.
Coordinates patient flow by working directly with the Administrative Supervisor office, Case Management, Discharge Planners etc.
Monitors overall status of patients within area of responsibility and closely monitors status of seriously ill patients.
Assists with the clinical evaluation of team members, completes written clinical performance evaluations and conducts timely team member assessments.
Ensures compliance with certifications, licenses and required education for team members.
Assists in the coordination and participates in the delivery of patient care ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies, procedures and standards of practice.
Ensures incident reports are completed appropriately and follows up with incident reports as needed.
