PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for strategic direction, planning, implementation, and evalation of patient care services across the continuum. Senior executive leader accountable for promoting the delivery of high quality, patient-centered care, a culture of patient safety & high reliability, and improved patient outcomes through the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based quality and performance improvement programs.
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Collaborates with senior leaders, clinicians from all disciplines, managers and other staff to develop, implement, and evaluate quality, safety, satisfaction, and efficiency in patient-centered care delivery
Promotes evidence based standards and nationally recognized best practices in interdisciplinary patient-centered care delivery.
Provides methodological consultation and education for nursing staff, interdisciplinary health care team members, and other staff as required.
Ensures adherence to accreditation and regulatory requirements across disciplines and departments.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business required
Doctorate in Nursing Practice ore related field preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:
Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Board certification in nursing specialty practice required within 6 months of hire
10 years progressive experience in acute care leadership and management with multiple department responsibility
