Under the direction of and in collaboration with Department Director, the Manager of Clinical Development is responsible for providing leadership in the design, development and delivery of relevant, high-quality clinical educational programs, including assessing, planning, implementation, delivery, and evaluation. Ensures that education is based on sound educational standards; ensures that education meets business goals and regulatory requirements.
Manages daily operations of Clinical Organizational Development Specialists.
Provides oversight of training programs and activities and ensures programs and activities are consistent with the planned purpose, objectives, and outline.
Applies effective instructional design techniques and strategies and delivers content based on that design.
Creates curriculum development on the results of ongoing needs assessments of practitioners, stakeholders, regulators, and system wide needs.
Based on identified and prioritized needs, develops a planned calendar of programs with defined goals and objectives for learning activities.
Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of programs, activities, and materials.
Actively pursues new developments in education methodology and participates in activities that contribute to professional growth and development.
Maintains local, regional, state, and national contacts through active participation in professional forums, committees, and at external events.
Assists Director in in identifying short and long-term professional goals and developing an education plan.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education or related field, with two years of relevant leadership experience.
Current Confluence Health employees may substitute Bachelors Degree with an Associate Degree or clinical certification/licensure with 6 years of relevant experience, 2 of which must be leadership or Confluence Health LEAD completion through Organizational Development.
Active or Interim Washington State Registered Nurse License, required by start date.
3 - 5 years experience planning and executing training in an acute care environment or related educational activities.
Must maintain primary residence in the Confluence Health service area.
Proficient with relevant word processing, database, and financial software packages on a PC platform: MS Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook. Publisher or other publishing software experience preferred.
Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration, Education or related field
