The Nursing Director of the Community Campus functions as a member of the executive nursing leadership team with responsibility for the provision of clinical services, quality, financial management/development, Regulatory/Accreditation, and personnel management initiatives, services and outcomes for the efficient and effective operations of the Nursing department at the Community Campus. Areas of responsibility include Family Birth Center (Labor and Delivery, Postpartum/OB/GYN Unit, Nursery), Med/Surg, ICU, CC SWAT, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Float/Support Pools, Transitional Care Unit, and Inpatient Rehabilitation. Assists the Chief Nursing Officer in the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of departmental goals and objectives. Coordinates and facilitates execution of clinical contracts and monitoring/approval of those contracts as appropriate. Collaborates with Physical Plant Administrative staff to ensure clinical operations are maintained and supported. Acts as a liaison and representative for Community Campus Nursing Services as appropriate.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Nursing required. If BSN prepared, Masters degree in Nursing, Management, or Health related field required. NYS licensed/registered professional nurse required or eligible. Minimum of 10 years progressively responsible nursing leadership experience which encompasses medical staff relationships, quality management, human resource development and management required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, computer, and presentation skills required.
