The Director of Staffing Resources provides strategic, operational and analytical support of nursing services staffing across all nursing service lines for both campuses. You will provide leadership and operational oversight for patient placement functions, collaborating with unit leadership to develop staffing plans that ensure availability of staffed beds. This position also serves as a tactical resource in support of patient throughput and staffing efficiency, oversees nursing supervisors and ensures that YRMC leadership standards are upheld.
Valid Arizona or compact state RN licensure
BSN or equivalent Bachelor of Science degree in health-related field (or demonstrated willingness to pursue a Bachelor's degree)
Five years of experience in progressively responsible nursing position with at least one year in clinical nursing
Knowledge of clinical service quality processes, nursing practice standards of care and ability to model excellence in patient care
Ability to evaluate appropriate care to ages from newborn through geriatric with age-specific needs
Current BLS certification
Basic knowledge of budgeting and capital equipment processes
Ability to motivate and lead teams
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience using an acuity-based staffing software system
Master's degree in Nursing, Business or a health-related field strongly preferred
Proficiency in electronic bed board, staffing and scheduling systems highly desired
