Executive level position responsible for overall strategic direction, coordination, and evaluation of nursing and non-nursing clinical services. Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field required. Master’s preferred. Provides oversight and leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical programs. Represents Avera Holy Family Hospital in the community, and serves on boards, task forces and committees as appropriate. Develops and maintains strong collaborative relationships and communication with the Board of Nursing, regional nursing, other professional educational organizations, and Avera Health clinical administration regarding standards, policies, quality improvement, services and other factors that impact clinical services. Actively participates in collaborative efforts with the medical staff to include, but not limited to, Medical Staff committees and activities as appropriate. Serves as the Privacy Officer. Position located in Estherville, Iowa. Commitment to the daily application of Avera’s mission, vision, core values and social principles.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
Five years of healthcare leadership experience, or Bachelor degree in nursing or healthcare related field required. Master’s in nursing or healthcare related discipline preferred.
Knowledge of nursing procedures and theory and management principles of nursing and hospital administration required.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Dependent Adult and Child Abuse education required within 90 days of employment.
BLS, ACLS and TNCC are required within 1 year of employment.
