EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Must be licensed in the appropriate state to practice professional nursing. Minimum of three years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse required. At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred. Certification in clinical specialty is preferred . Demonstrated managerial competency. Evidence includes: effective communication and interpersonal skills within the interdisciplinary care environment; the ability to problem solve; to appropriately confront issues; to motivate others as individuals and as a group; and to plan, organize and direct the activities of others .
CONTINUING EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Plans and conducts a minimum of two hours of job related educational programs . 2. Obtains 24 hours educational credit. 3. Identifies relevant patient care and/or nursing practice KIQ's (key indicators of quality). This is achieved by using PDCA methodology and the appropriate data collection, aggregation, analysis and trending in the demonstration of measurable improvement outcomes.
