The ICUs include Trauma, Neuroscience, Surgical, Medical, Vascular Cardiothoracic, Coronary Care, Burn, Pediatrics, and Neonatal Units. TGH has 143 intensive care unit beds. TGH is a level one Trauma Center, and a certified Regional Burn Center that excels in the care of critically ill patients. The Surgical Trauma ICU specializes in complex diagnosis such as abdominal transplant, hipec, trauma, complex orthopedic or complex general surgical cases.
Provides clinical and administrative support to staff providing direct/indirect care to patients on a specific unit/units. Responsible on a 24-hour basis for the
programmatic, operational and financial management of the unit/program. Interviews, hires, assigns work to and evaluates work performance of employees supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
