Provides leadership and direction for areas of responsibility. Works collaboratively with senior leadership for strategic planning.
Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
Directs and/or assist in prompt resolution of issues and complaints.
Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in assigned areas of responsibility. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services.
Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
Ensures a high level of patient care is maintained in assigned areas of responsibility through coordination and management of personnel and resources.
Uses sound business and clinical management strategies to maintain and improve quality; ensure appropriate access; meets established financial goals; and develops, implements, and communicates a service line plan, which is aligned with and supports corporate goals.
Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required. Master's degree preferred.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required. Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience required. A minimum of 1 years' experience in a leadership role required. Specialty units may prefer related work experience
