Madison, WI - UW Health is seeking an exceptional leader to assume the position of Senior Vice President/Chief Nurse Executive (CNE). Nursing at UW Health is both an art and a science. Reporting directly to Dr. Alan S. Kaplan, MD, CEO of UW Health, the next SVP/CNE leads and sets the strategic vision for nursing practice and clinical services across the UW Health enterprise and is a key member of the UW Health senior leadership team. Working in close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Clinical Officer, the CNE will be involved in all aspects of the UW Health mission.
The successful candidate will be an authentic, collaborative and strategic nursing leader with a track record of elevating nursing practice and leading measurable improvements to the quality and cost of care across a complex organization, while also maintaining a national presence. The CNE will have a minimum of 10 years of administrative responsibility within a complex, comparable health system with progressive experience in nursing leadership positions at the senior level. A Master's degree in Nursing is required, a Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.
