Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Administrator the Exec Director, Patient Care Services will contribute to the fulfillment of the Saint Francis Health System Mission and Vision by providing administrative leadership for programs and services at SFH Muskogee.
This includes responsibilities for planning, organizing, implementing and directing resources in assigned operational areas, collaborating with Executive Council/Senior Leadership Team to establish and accomplish organizational goals, and serving as a role model and promoting awareness and understanding of the Saint Francis Health System Values.
There are thirty six direct reports to include nine managers and six administrative supervisors. Full-time equivalent roll-ups number approximately 376. Revenue accountability amounts to approximately annually. There is substantial autonomy for making decisions and taking action.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Directs activities that promote the delivery of effective, quality patient care and the development of department and division policies, procedures, and guidelines to comply with professional accreditation and government standards. Assures staff competency/compliance with mandatory in-services, assures The Joint Commission (TJC) and hospital standards are current. Monitors and improves patient outcomes through the Performance Improvement program. Analyzes effectiveness and efficiency of current operations, programs, and facilities.
Utilizes a Systems Approach to provide leadership for intradepartmental activities and problem resolution. Mentors managers and staff using effective communication and problem-solving skills. Creativity and innovative approaches are utilized to resolve issues. Fosters an environment within departments and hospital that encourages interdepartmental collaboration and customer focus.
Directs the management of human and material resources. Budget plans are completed in a timely fashion with analysis of cost reduction. Continuously monitors overall utilization of resources and directs corrective action related to fiscal management. Submits action plan for improving productivity and efficiency outlining reasons for variances.
