Our new, state-of-the-art Montefiore Hutchinson Campus raises the bar for efficiency and innovation in healthcare. Designed with our patients in mind, the 11-floor, 280,000-square-foot facility is a patient-focused and highly streamlined ambulatory care center that maximizes efficiency. Patients gain immediate access to high-quality ambulatory surgery and subspecialty care in a convenient location off the Hutchinson River Parkway. The Hutchinson Campus Surgery Center is growing and has added four new OR rooms (for a total of 16); our same day procedures include but are not limited to Spine, Ortho, GYN, ENT and General Surgery.
Montefiore Medical Center is in the Bronx and easily accessible from all points via a short drive or public transit commute.
The Administrative Nurse Manager of the PACU/Surgery Center is responsible for the supervision of our growing nursing and ancillary staff in our ambulatory clinic while supporting the mission of the organization and demonstrates the values of People Based Services (PBS) in daily practice. He/she is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide nursing care and prescribe, delegate, and coordinate interdepartmental activities to ensure quality patient care. Participates in performance improvement/ research activities, ensures our Press Ganey scores are maintained at a high level, maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills, core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. Assists in the management of the daily clinical and administrative activities for a designated nursing unit which involves patient care delivery, staffing, budget preparation, and purchasing of equipment and supplies. Provides direct patient care as required.
New York State Registered Professional License and Registration Minimum of five years’ experience in PACU or related area along with BLS and ACLS certifications are required. BSN degree is preferred.
