Abrazo Scottsdale Campus (locatedat AZ-51 and Bell Road in Phoenix) is a 136-bed full-service acute carecommunity-based hospital which has provided excellent comprehensive medicalcare to patients in the northeastern region of metro Phoenix for more than 30years. Abrazo Scottsdale Campus provides specialized services such as anaccredited chest pain center, wound care and hyperbaric (high pressure)medicine, advanced orthopedics featuring navigational technology and sportsmedicine, expanded rehabilitation services, enhanced diagnostic imaging, anddedicated women�s programs.
The Director, Clinical Quality Improvement isresponsible for designing, implementing and overseeing all aspects of thequality improvement and patient safety programs within the facility. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, The Director, Clinical QualityImprovement will work collaboratively with hospital senior leadership andmarket/regional and home office leaders to align resources to meet priorities andgoals. The Director will be responsible for the development of anintegrated approach to quality and patient safety across the organizationincluding all facets of Quality Management, Risk Management, Medical StaffQuality, Performance Improvement, Infection Prevention, and PatientSafety. The Director will serve as an expert resource within the facilityrelated to clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory and quality improvementissues, and activities related to accreditation. Acts as Departmentadministrator. Establishes and enforces policies, procedures, standardsand objectives. Directs and supervises staff as well as workflow. Position has budgetary or fiscal accountability. Responsible 24 hours a day forthe ongoing effective operation of the Department exerting a leadership rolewhich supports the organization�s mission and values, goals and objectives,while focusing on the patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and thecommunity as customers. Ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment,improvement, coordination and integration of the department services andstandards of care into the hospital�s primary function. Position is responsiblefor approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatorystandards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.
Required: RegisteredProfessional Nurse (RN) with Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree in patientcare related field
Required: Minimum10 yearsexperience in QA/PI
Required: Mustbe currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession asrequired by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
CPHQ or eligible to take exam within two yearsof employment.
Experience with The Joint Commission standards
