Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services has 24-hour responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital. The manager must have the ability to be a change agent; provide staff development through the use of effective and motivational communications. The manager collaborates with other key hospital departments to ensure compliance with state, federal and other regulatory bodies. The Manager act as an operational and/or clinical resource for their department. The manager has authority to make decisions in the department in the areas of patient care, human resources, and financial management.

We have a full time opening for a Med/Surg ICU Nursing Manager; this is an ideal opportunity for a Nursing Manager interested in working with an outstanding team in the beautiful, family friendly community of the Carson Valley.  

Minimum Education

  • BSN required or enrollment in courses that can be applied to the formal BSN program within six months of hire.
  • Master’s Preferred
  • Current Nevada RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certification

Minimum Work Experience

  • Five years’ experience preferred
  • Demonstrated operational and/or clinical competence in relevant area of service
  • Patient Centered Care focus
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and potential managerial competency
  • Evidence of this includes, but is not limited to, effective communication skills, ability to deal well with people, ability to problem solve, ability to confront/resolve issues, ability to motivate others, ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of others.
