Responsible for Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab, Vascular Services, Cardiac Cath, Open Heart Unit. Delegates the coordination of patient care between multiple disciplines, i.e., surgeons, anesthesia, nursing staff and ancillary staff. Accountable for the development and process of writing/revising and updating policies and procedures and developing, implementing and evaluating new procedures. Develops and meets departmental and individual goals and objectives that support the organizational strategic objectives. Promotes and encourages educational opportunities for professional and ancillary staff. Provides for education opportunities to meet the PI needs of the department. Identifies interdisciplinary concerns/problems/issues and appropriately and successfully addresses in a timely manner. Works with physicians to review department utilization and reduce denials. Reviews medical records and provides summary to medical director. Maintains knowledge of and maintains compliance with reimbursement regulations and ensures optimal reimbursement. Credentials - Essential: - BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
