Senior Nurse Manager, Perioperative Services City of Hope National Medical Center Duarte, CA
City of Hope National Medical Center, a world leader in cancer research, treatment, and prevention, is seeking a Senior Nurse Manager for Perioperative Services. The Senior Nurse Manager is responsible for operational activities and program management for the main Operating Room with 6 ORs, the Outpatient Surgery Center with 4 ORs, as well as the Extended Recovery area. Direct reports include: Nurse Manager of the Main OR Nurse Manager for the Outpatient Surgery Center and a Nurse Manager for Extended Recovery.
The Senior Nurse Manager works collaboratively to:
Ensure optimal delivery of patient care and uses data to drive decisions.
Facilitates team building interactions with staff and establishes collaborative relationships with physicians and advanced practice providers.
Collaborates with both internal and external customers to meet strategic goals.
Serves as a change agent and effectively facilitates change(s) with staff.
Monitors and control resources, including staff, equipment, and supplies.
Provides excellent customer service.
Encourages higher learning and professional development of staff/self.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master’s required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in perioperative services with a minimum of 1 year of leadership experience.
CNOR required. Certification in nursing leadership preferred.
California RN license required.
Ability to be an effective change agent.
Ability to perform responsibilities during stressful circumstances and manage multiple projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
