DIRECTOR OF NURSING
Harper College is seeking an experienced professional for the Director of Nursing position. The Director of Nursing assists, manages, and supports day-to-day division operations and implements new initiatives as directed using effective project management skills. The successful candidate will serve as Nursing Administrator with the authority and responsibilities defined by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) to direct the nursing curriculum and program outcomes. You will work collaboratively with regulatory and accrediting agencies in complying with standards and requirements for curriculum, faculty, and students. You will also collaborate with the Dean and nursing department to assure a dynamic and student-centered class schedule that assures students can complete program of study efficiently.
At least a Master's Degree in Nursing.
License Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Teaching experience in higher education
Two or more years as a Department Chair, Program Coordinator, or similar academic leadership preferred.
