Cox Medical Group is seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Nursing. This individual will be responsible for leading clinical operations and processes of Cox Medical Group (CMG). Work in collaboration with health system leadership to develop patient care services in an environment that will promote satisfaction in patients, providers and staff. They will also be responsible for engaging the medical staff and employees around a common clinical vision and leading these constituents to the desired outcomes. Grow the clinical workforce by partnering with regional academic institutions for educational programs, develop clinical onboarding and monitoring continuing education programs to ensure appropriate staff competencies. Work collaboratively with the CMG Executive Team including other administrative directors to establish and execute Medical Group strategy. Work directly with directors and managers in a highly matrixed reporting structure to develop and implement action plans, dashboards and reporting systems to track and trend KPIs. Standardize services and processes where appropriate to improve efficiency and continuity of patient care while maintaining professional standards within disciplines and across the enterprise.
This role will be responsible for maintaining regulatory standards and staff preparedness for accreditation surveys. Maintain a high level of visibility throughout the organization and represent CMG by building strong collaborative relationships. Demonstrate flexibility in leadership style to manage change and stays aplomb under pressure. Promote positive employee relations through a culture of employee recognition and celebration of accomplishments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and MO RN license is required.
At least 5 years of nursing management experience
Ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, public and external agencies
Have the ability to take initiative and exercise good judgement and decision-making
Experience problem solving, critical thinking, conflict management, negotiation, and personnel development
