Kirby Bates Associates is honored to partner with Nantucket Cottage Hospital (NCH), a non-profit hospital that serves the residents and visitors of the Nantucket island community, on the recruitment of a Vice President, Quality, Risk & Patient Experience (VP), which reports to the President/Chief Executive Officer. NCH is affiliated with the world-renowned Mass General Brigham, formerly known as Partners HealthCare.
Position Details and Responsibilities:
The VP has administrative responsibility for a comprehensive quality, safety, and performance improvement program, including analysis of data, to direct, plan and facilitate process improvements that promotes quality care and optimal patient outcomes. The VP develops solid relationships and works collaboratively to ensure shared decision making with the Board of Trustees, Patient Care Assessment Committee, Senior Leadership Team, Medical Staff Leadership, physicians, department managers, and all stakeholders. The incumbent develops, collaborates, implements, and evaluates long and short-term goals for Quality Management, Risk Management, Care Management, Social Services and Interpreter Services, Medical Staff Services, and Patient Experience Program.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Health Services Administration required.
Master’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Health Services Administration preferred.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Accreditation preparation and survey readiness.
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success in leading process improvement and initiatives.
Experience with infection prevention requirements for hospital settings.
Certification preferred (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)).
