Kootenai Health, located in Coeur d'Alene, ID, is hiring a Director of Clinical Services – Medical/Surgical Services!

As the Director of Clinical Services, your core responsibilities include:
Developing business and program plans, preparing financial presentations, analysis, and budgets, identifying potential issues and opportunities within the service lines and their related programs
Providing leadership by building consensus and managing successful customer-focused programs supports growth initiatives and improves care delivery.
Working with other leaders in the organization in either a direct or matrix relationship in both the inpatient and ambulatory care settings
Overseeing contract provisions as appropriate
Accountability for quality outcomes, standards of patient care, performance improvement, process management, provider satisfaction, business operations, resource utilization, and management development
Creating a positive, engaging work environment
Facilitating teamwork and creates optimal patient outcomes
Driving and manages change
To be successful in this role, you will need:
BSN or higher required
Master's degree in relevant field required
State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho required
Five years experience in healthcare management preferred
Hospital experience desired
Broad and intensive understanding of clinical operations and the related functions of administration and the service lines
Demonstrated business acumen and management skills associated with budgeting, program development, planning, and execution
Understanding of clinical information and computer systems as well as coding, billing, and reimbursement relative to service offerings
Knowledge of negotiations and change management
Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements
Excellent and proven leadership skills incorporating accountability, open communication, and team building
