This VP will report directly to the System CNO. As the VP of Patient Logistics, you be responsible for the strategy, development, and implementation of the operations for the transfer center and patient placement areas. Qualified candidates will have experience developing a transfers and bed management system for a larger healthcare system.

Executive Talent Acquisition
Plans, manages and directs the operational and strategic activities of operational and ancillary areas.
Plans and implements effective, ongoing programs to measure, assess and improve the quality of care delivered to patients.
Establishes goals and objectives for the transfer center and patient placement arena consistent with and in support of the strategic and operational objectives of the health system.
Oversees the development of staffing plans for the transfer center and patient placement arena, evaluates creative and alternative staffing plans to ensure efficient staff utilization, high quality care and cost control; and coordinates the development of capital, operational and FTE budgets.
Facilitates interdepartmental communication among Clinical/Support Services departments, the medical department and other ancillary areas.
Directs the preparation of the annual budget for respective divisions. Manages budgets and costs through the responsible use of planning and control system, which include taking into consideration forecast levels of operations, cost-effective utilization of resources and realistic financial variances. Monitors the overall financial performance of the division and assigns accountability for budget management to direct reports as appropriate.
Make decisions for direct reports and performs people management activities such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning and interviews.
Utilizes the organization’s Continuous Improvement Operating Model to identify and improve complex interrelated processes that contribute to the success and failures of an organization.

Eight years nursing experience, with four years' in leadership
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
