Responsible for planning and directing the activities of perioperative services, which includes surgery admitting, operating room, and pre and post anesthesia care. The director has overall accountability for the delivery of safe and effective direct and indirect patient-family centered care through the continuum of perioperative care.
• BSN required; Master’s degree in nursing, health care administration, business, or
other related field preferred
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current registered nurse licensure in state of Nevada
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, depending on patient population
Minimum Work Experience
Five years varied and progressive perioperative services experience
Two years progressive experience in health care administration with increasing level of administrative responsibility and authority
Experience in staffing, budget, and finance
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced computer skills (e.g. Microsoft® PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
