The Rutgers School of Nursing is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Deputy Director. This individual will partner closely with the Executive Director to chart a plan for sustainability and growth of the François-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB Center), a $37 million grant-funded Center that aims to eliminate barriers to high-quality health care for vulnerable populations. The Deputy Director will develop and implement strategies to promote the FXB Center’s mission to improve care and services for underserved populations. This role will have internal and external facing responsibilities that strengthen and reach multiple stakeholders, develop programs, write grants and provide mentoring and coaching to colleagues within the Center. Drawing upon both clinical and community health experiences, the ideal candidate will bring recent hands-on experiences working with underserved and marginalized populations, outstanding organization and leadership abilities, excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills, an analytical mind capable of “out-of-the-box” thinking to solve problems and the ability to think strategically.
The successful applicant will have a Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education or a related field with at least five (5) years of related experience. Ideal candidates will have prior experiences in community health and/or primary care as a CNS, PNP or FNP.
