Marshfield Medical Center – Minocqua is a medical campus that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient health care to residents in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We provide emergency services, outpatient care, inpatient and outpatient surgeries including minimally invasive options, birth services, imaging services, laboratory, physical and occupational therapy, and pharmacy.

Will oversee the Emergency Department and Urgent Care with the Phase 2 expansion

The Nurse Manager-Hospital coordinates, directs and manages the twenty-four hour delivery of optimal patient care within an assigned area of a Marshfield Clinic Health Systems hospital. This role is responsible for the recruitment and retention of the frontline patient care staff and for guiding and leading our nurses to provide the best patient care services in accordance with the organizational goals and initiatives. This role interactively works with physician and allied provider staff on their unit(s) with the goal of best patient outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Requires:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business administration, healthcare administration or other healthcare related field or an Associate degree/Diploma in registered nursing, Associate degree in business administration, or Associate degree in healthcare administration. An Associate/Diploma degree requires the obtaining of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business administration, healthcare administration or other healthcare related field within three years of starting in the position. An annual evaluation of coursework completed towards their bachelor’s degree will be required.
• Three years of leadership experience; or two years of leadership experience with a Master’s degree
• Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in nursing, business administration, healthcare administration or other healthcare related field
• Four years of management experience in a healthcare field
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire
