The CRN must be well-versed in the safety and regulatory aspects of clinical research studies. As such she/he/they will adhere to safety guidelines and protocol compliance, conduct treatment and education, assist with data management, and will possess knowledge of regulations that apply to the safe conduct of human subjects research. The ANM will be the go-to clinical lead for the clinical trials team, liaising with Principal Investigators (PIs) and assuring adverse event data and safety reporting is conducted compliantly per Protocols, the regulations, and institutional policies and SOPs. He/she/they will provide efficient implementation of the study protocol creating new systems as needed to ensure efficiency and study team satisfaction, and provide direct input into the feasibility and selection of new trials. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable District of Columbia and federal laws and regulations and Georgetown’s philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.
