The VP Nursing & CNO for Porter Adventist Hospital provides leadership in the daily operations of the hospital. They are responsible and accountable for leading hospital clinical operations by working through directors and other health care team members in providing patient care 24 hours/day and 7 days/week. In this role, you will exercises accountability for nursing care wherever it is provided in the hospital and assume an active leadership role with Community Board, Senior Leadership, Medical Staff and with hospital leaders in hospital and Centura health. Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout Centura Health. Each leader must have a personal and professional connection to the mission of this Christian organization. This position must be a team player themselves and contribute toward a team centered approach that lends itself to ensuring “team before self” to lead this complex, highly matrixed organization into the differentiated leading role as the system of choice. This position will invite others into their work to be fully transparent with the activities of this position, allowing for celebration of success and learnings through opportunities for change. In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Masters Degree in Nursing (other disciplines acceptable if BSN is also held), required
Doctorate Degree, preferred
5 years progressive clinical leadership nursing experience required.
CNO experience within an integrated system, highly preferred
RN license to practice in CO, required
Nurse Executive Certification, professional certification required within 1 year of hire or transfer to role.
Physical Requirements-Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
