The VP, of Clinical Performance, has national accountability and provides strategic leadership to drive nursing performance initiatives and strategies through the Program Office department of, National Patient Care Services (NPCS) and work collaboratively with leaders across all KP markets. The Vice President of Clinical Performance will report directly to the SVP, National Patient Care Services & Chief Nurse Executive, and is responsible for leading and operationalizing the national strategy for nursing practice to include monitoring, measuring, and improving clinical and operational performance metrics. This role leads the management of national consulting services that align to and advance excellence in Nursing Quality & Safety, Nursing Care Experience, Care Without Delay, Maternal Child Health, Pharmacy collaboration, Nursing Clinical Practice, Evidence-Based Nursing Practice, and Scope of Nursing Practice Standards. Alignment and collaboration with medical groups and ambulatory settings are required throughout. The client is seeking a transformative leader to inspire, motivate and influence nursing operations across the enterprise in a matrixed environment.
This position works collaboratively with labor partners to achieve organizational goals and objectives, participates in defined and established leadership meetings at the national and regional level, and partners with national, regional, and local leadership groups. This position also participates in nursing leadership activities and serves on select nursing committees and maintains a strong collaborative relationship with regional Chief Nurse Executives and inter-professional leadership teams.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Required Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing and Terminal Degree in Nursing (DNP or Ph.D.)
Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years of Senior Leadership experience in a highly matrixed healthcare environment / Minimum of 12 years of direct experience in the healthcare field, in a complex delivery system. Regional or Market CNE experience of system-level leadership exp.
Unencumbered registered nursing license with eligibility to obtain a CA license within 6 months.
Reports to SVP, National Patient Care Services & Chief Nurse Executive
2 Direct Reports: Senior Director, Nursing Performance, Senior Director, Nursing Research & Evidence-Based Practice
Demonstrated skills to work in a union environment.

Engage nursing and other clinical leaders across the enterprise in the development, agreement, and success of shared goals.
Review clinical excellence trends, experiences, and approaches, and incorporate them into NPCS goals.
Assist in the development of innovative strategic and tactical plans for nursing and clinical performance.
Work in concert with other disciplines to support patient care and research activities and to enhance intervention appropriateness and enhance patient safety.
Participate in the optimization of clinical pathway models with nursing and other leaders to gain maximum efficacy and support for patient care and service.
