Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH), located in the beautiful and historic town of Astoria, Oregon is looking for an experienced Surgical Services Manager who believes in our mission to provide excellence, leadership and compassion in the enhancement of health for those we serve.
The Surgical Services Manager administers, organizes, integrates, and evaluates the activities of Perioperative Services, with a focus on perianesthesia, and is responsible for the coordination between surgeons, anesthesia, operating room, and post anesthesia care unit, same day services, and pre-admission testing. This manager provides leadership that promotes high quality person-centered care while leading the department in clinical operations, fiscal management, staffing, formulating and administering policies and programs for the Department.
A demonstrated knowledge of Surgical Services is required as well as competency with general clinical office procedures including CPT codes, financial/budget oversight, computer skills, while demonstrating and modeling exceptional customer service is a key requirement of this position.
This is a CMH leadership position that is responsible for delivering customer service which anticipates and exceeds patient expectations and ensures team members in the Surgical Services department are creating a memorable and positive patient experience.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program, bachelor’s degree required. MSA, MHA and/or MSN preferred.
Current active RN license issued by the State of Oregon State Board of Nursing (or ability to obtain)
Five or more years Surgical Services experience required
Two years’ experience in a supervisory and/or management role is required
