As a member of the Executive Management Team, the Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the overall administration, direction and coordination of all Nursing areas and other assigned areas. Must be very strong in the areas of QA, hospital finance/ budgeting, and overall clinical management. A positive, diplomatic, and team-promoting approach is essential in this position. The Chief Nursing Officer models the behaviors and work performance for the team, effectively assuming the authority and responsibility for the Nursing Departments (and others as assigned) hospital wide. This position requires a big-picture thinker with a forward-focused vision to grow and develop clincial staff under the scope of management.
Requirements for the position include: licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia. Master's Degree in related field. Minimum of 10 years as a staff nurse, 5 years experience in middle or upper management. Prefer previous CNO experience. BLS certification is required.
