Saint Anselm College invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Dean of the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences, housed in the new, state of the art, 40,000 square foot Grappone Hall. The Dean will work collaboratively with the Directors of the well-established Undergraduate Nursing Program and the Director of Graduate Nursing Programs, the Director of the Continuing Nursing Education Program, and the faculty leaders of the undergraduate Health Sciences and Community and Public Health programs. Responsibilities will include shaping and implementing the vision, mission, and strategic plan of the Jean School, and facilitating the achievement of all academic outcomes and competencies. This position is an exciting opportunity to lead the nursing, public health and health science programs, with a focus on partnerships, fundraising, and marketing/enrollment.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative, strategic leader with strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of supporting academic programming and developing community partnerships with local health-care organizations. The Dean will be charged with ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies, including NECHE, CCNE, and the New Hampshire Board of Nursing as well as other accreditation bodies. Consistent with College policies and procedures, the Dean shall be appointed by the President of the College and will report directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The next Dean must be committed to the advancement and support of the College’s mission through its liberal arts, Catholic, and Benedictine identity (all faiths are welcome).
Ph. D. in Nursing or equivalent doctoral degree and active RN License
Minimum of 10 years of experience in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing or health related education
Teaching experience, with knowledge surrounding pedagogy and online course delivery, including the delivery of advanced practice programs
Academic or administrative leadership experience
Demonstrated interest in and appreciation for the liberal arts
