Renown Health, northern Nevada’s only not-for-profit, locally governed healthcare network, is seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide strategic leadership and drive clinical excellence across our flagship facility—Renown Regional Medical Center. This is a pivotal executive role for an innovative healthcare leader who is passionate about quality, operational performance, and elevating the patient and caregiver experience.
About the Role
As a key member of the hospital’s executive leadership team, the Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for shaping and advancing the strategic direction, operational performance, and culture of nursing and clinical excellence throughout the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this leader will:
Provide executive leadership across inpatient nursing and allied health departments to ensure delivery of the highest quality, patient-centered care.
Drive evidence-based practices, care innovation, and performance improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and outcomes.
Champion a culture of collaboration, compassion, and continuous learning among nursing and clinical teams.
Guide strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and workforce development to support system-wide growth and sustainability.
Partner with physician leaders, community stakeholders, and academic institutions to strengthen clinical partnerships and talent pipelines.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards while delivering exceptional value and care.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven executive with the following qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field required; doctoral degree preferred.
Experience: At least five years of progressive executive-level leadership in a comparable acute care setting. Prior experience in care coordination and integrated health systems strongly preferred.
Licensure: Must be eligible for RN licensure in the State of Nevada.
Certifications: National certification in nursing leadership (e.g., NEA-BC, FACHE) preferred.
Skills: Strategic thinking, change leadership, financial acumen, and a deep commitment to evidence-based care.
