Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse Manager demonstrates clinical, operational, and financial expertise in the day-to-day leadership of the department.
Responsibilities include daily staff assignments based on patient volumes, acuity, and staff competency.
The Registered Nurse Manager will serve on selected teams and remain abreast of current and future regulatory requirements and standards related to patient care and quality monitoring.
Collaborates with obstetric providers, anesthesia, neonatology, and ancillary services to ensure seamless interdisciplinary care.
Provide hands-on support, clinical or managerial, during periods of increased census, acuity, or unanticipated surges.
Rapidly reallocate staff and resources to maintain safe care environments during spikes in labor activity.
Support and practice AWHONN, ACOG, and Joint Commission standards.
Registered Nurse license in Maryland
5 or more years as a Labor and Delivery Nurse and 1-2 years of management experience preferred
EFM preferred upon hire or required within 1 year of hire or transfer
NRP preferred upon hire or required within 1 year of hire or transfer
